Luis Miguel Rojas began his music studies as a trumpet player, performing professionally as a member of the "Simon Bolivar" Symphony of Venezuela. Due to a lung illness, Rojas was forced to quit the trumpet. Nevertheless, his passion for music prevailed and he soon afterward began cello studies.
